The region of Bourgogne-Franche-ComtΓ© is famous world-wide for a few different key ingredients. First is Burgundy wine. This ingredient is key in a wide range of dishes such as the famous bΕ“uf bourguignon and coq au vin. The second is Dijon mustard, coming from Bourgogne-Franche-Comté’s largest city of Dijon. Lastly is ComtΓ© cheese, a semi-hard cheese that is used in gougΓ¨res. In general, because of Bourgogne-Franche-ComtΓ© shared border with Switzerland, you find a combination of Alps classics and humble French stews.
