Turkish cuisines is an absolute fusion of history. Over time, Tรผrkiye has both exerted influence and gained influence from the regions surrounding it, such as the cuisines from the Balkans, Central Asia, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. You still find echoes of Ottoman cuisine (including Ottoman court cuisine of rice, stews, eggplants, and fish) and Seljuk cuisine (a Turco-Persian that likely created the initial culinary trades between Tรผrkiye and Central Asian countries like Turkmenistan). Throughout the country, youโll find exceptional diversity (for example, the Black Sea region tends to use anchovy and maize in a lot of their dishes while Western Tรผrkiye features an abundance of olives and olive oil due to their climate).
