Kemerovo Oblast is located in West Siberia. The historic peoples of this area are the Turkic groups of Shors, Teleuts, and Siberian Tatars. Over time, these people have been increasingly forced out of their lands or have been outnumbered by Russians. There’s still some Siberian influences in the ingredients used, but typically applied to traditional Russian dishes.
