Uzbekistan is one of the key points of the Silk Road through Central Asia. As such, this Turkic cuisine is diverse, ancient, and rich. Because of the history of spice trade and grain farming, breads and noodles with warm spiced meats and rice dishes are iconic in this region. Green tea is the drink of choice with some variations in different cities and regions. Another cuisine that pops up in this region is Koryo-saram, a Korean-Soviet cuisine with a painful and important history. This cuisine will be handled separately, but koreyskaya morkovka is still present on this list due to itself prolific popularity with Uzbeks of all ethnicities.
