South Korea’s capital has its own distinct personality when it comes to cuisine. Like other Korean cuisines, you can expect a wide range of banchan and small dishes, but Seoul has distinctly smaller portions. The food is known to not be particular spicy, but highly spiced, with seolleongtang (beef soup with rice) being the one of the most widely know Seoul dishes. In addition to this, Seoul is the seat of creative street food in South Korea, leading to national-wide popular hits like cheese dogs and garlic cream bread.
